Statement

Over the last 13 years, the DAMNED Exhibition has been an amazing community adventure for me. As an artist and staff member of the event, I have seen creators from around the world use their talent to express their voice and experience through all artistic forms and mediums. The visual attention to the gallery design and patron experience was always on point, and the crowd always seemed to have fond memories that brought them back for more each year. DAMNED has helped to promote and support a thriving community yearning for something fun and different. As a participating artist, the event has helped me have more of a voice with my own creative designs and expressions of darkness and pain; sometimes mixed with humor and irony, but always based on something real and personal. When I see my work at DAMNED, well-hung next to the bevy of artists who all have a story to share, I am proud to be a part of this community.
